Manchester City did what they needed to do on the weekend, battering Crystal Palace to stay in the title hunt. Two points down with two games left. Not great, not terrible. Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki were basically unplayable, serving up assists that made the whole thing look easy. Palace had a decent first half, mind you, but once City got rolling, it was over.

The real chaos, though? Scotland. Celtic scraped past Motherwell with a penalty in the dying seconds that had everyone losing it. VAR's decision was dodgy enough to spark a full argument about whether the refs are actually watching the same game as the rest of us. Either way, the title's going down to the final day. Hearts beat Falkirk earlier, so it's all set up for a proper finale.

The Football Weekly crew ran through the lot on this week's episode. Max Rushden, Barry Glendenning, Jordan Jarrett-Bryan, Will Unwin, and Ewan Murray unpacked City's performance, dissected that Scottish nightmare call, and somehow managed to fit in spygate chat along with an FA Cup final preview. Because apparently one weekend of football drama isn't enough.

City's two-point deficit means they can't really afford another slip. Arsenal's sitting pretty at the top, but there's still time for things to shift. As for Celtic, they've got Hearts waiting for them, and if that penalty decision is anything to go by, this title race is going to be messy all the way through.

If you've got questions about any of it, the pod's got answers. Or at least, they'll argue about it long enough that you'll forget you were confused in the first place.
